Relayworks AI is an applied AI consultancy based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Both founders work as engineers at IBM on enterprise production systems; Relayworks is where we bring that discipline to companies who are not buying an enterprise engagement. We also build and operate our own AI product, Aira.

We started Relayworks because that gap kept showing up: impressive prototypes that never went live, pilots with no evaluation, systems nobody could explain after the person who built them moved on. The engineering to close that gap is not exotic — it is ordinary discipline applied to a technology that is unusually good at appearing to work.
So we built our own product first. Aira is a production AI agent with real customers, real costs and real consequences for being wrong. Everything we recommend to clients, we have had to live with ourselves.
The firm is new. The engineering is not.

Six things that are true about us
Senior-led, always
The people who scope your work do your work. There is no handover to a junior team after signature, because there is no junior team.
Small on purpose
A boutique ships faster and costs substantially less than a large firm for the same work. We would rather be excellent at a narrow thing than adequate at everything.
Technology-agnostic
We are not a reseller and we hold no platform partnerships that would bias a recommendation. We choose per workload and build for portability.
Fixed scope, not hours
Every engagement is quoted as a scope with the number agreed before work starts. Hourly billing misaligns the incentives on exactly the work where speed matters.
We write things down
Architecture decisions, cost models, evaluation methods — published in insights. If we cannot explain it clearly, we do not understand it well enough.
We say no
Roughly one process in four we assess is better fixed with plain code or a process change. Telling you that is more valuable than selling you a model.
Coimbatore, working worldwide
Our office is in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Discovery work benefits from being in the room, so we travel for it across South India. The build does not — most of our delivery is remote, including for clients in the US, UK and the Gulf.
We work in English, Tamil and Hindi, and we build systems that do the same.
